Crafts

The traditional handicraft products carefully produced by us are important to the lives and professions of many people. Nowadays, we strive to preserve our skills and produce artisanal products in a modern economy. The skills involved in the creation of handicrafts are as varied as the items themselves and range from delicate and detailed work to difficult and intricate work such as the composition of a carpet on the loom or filigree work. Time and effort are invested in the production of objects and handicrafts such as: a carpet, a knitted sweater, a straw basket or an embroidery in folk clothing. Likewise, high standards have been set for the craftsmanship exercised and the products produced. In our city, the knowledge of craft production continues to be transmitted from generation to generation, including everyone, from children to adults of both sexes. Some artisans are specialized in a particular craft such as weaving, and some others practice several crafts within a family such as: embroidery, ceramics and weaving. Our distinctive crafts are:
Handmake work of wool, cotton and silk
These works include handmade and unique wool rugs. While maintaining the technique of working on the loom, the technique of dyeing wool, from that with undyed wool or with natural dyes, has undergone few changes over time. If you would like to have a traditional rug made by us, it can be ordered according to the desired size, color and design. In addition to woolen carpets, we also produce exclusive textiles made of cotton and, less often, silk. Crochet and embroidery textile works. Techniques such as spinning, knitting, weaving, quilting, braiding, crocheting and lace beating are used in our textile works.

Traditional Costumes
Traditional costumes are equally varied and interesting, reflecting tradition but also modern trends in decoration. While a few decades ago, one could read the origin, wealth, class and family status from the clothing, today, these garments are being produced again according to the demands more for symbolic gifts. In the process of making it, several skills are combined together, such as tailoring, weaving, embroidery, lace, etc.
Filigree work

Filigree is the traditional craftsman and still in use, perhaps due to its cost efficiency, design and detailed craftsmanship. Jewelry and ornaments play an important role in the craftsmanship of goldsmiths. Filigree works have always occupied a special place for the wonderful technique as well as the finesse in the products made by the artisans. Filigree is one of the most delicate types of metalwork in jewelry, which generally uses precious metals such as gold and silver. Its often fragility it makes us think that we are dealing with a lace embroidery.

Copper work
Although an ancient craft, coppersmiths are extremely skilled craftsmen who play an important role in practicing this craft. Coppersmiths create high-quality, high-quality, detailed copperwork and often work with other similar soft metals. Today coppersmiths generally work on decorative, high-end products rather than on practical or technical ones as they used to do for weapons and tools.
Decorative and functional beadwork
Beading is the art or craft of attaching beads to each other by threading them onto a thread or fine wire with a sewing needle, or by sewing them onto fabric. Beads are produced in a diverse range of materials, shapes and sizes, colors and vary by use.
